Job Description:
Huntsman Global Business Services Centre is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Legal Counsel.

As a Legal Counsel you will:
Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documents, with a special focus on IT related and transactional procurement contracts, to help achieve the best practicable commercial deals, whilst ensuring the legal aspects are properly covered and legal liabilities are minimized

Prepare, review and manage on a global basis non-disclosure agreements and requests, using internal guidelines and tools and working with Huntsman IP and other commercial counsel as needed

Liaise closely with the business and functions (including IT, Purchasing, Tax, EHS and HR) to ensure that all aspects of agreements or matters are properly considered and addressed

Monitor and advise the business and functions on current and new legislation relevant to their areas

Advise on, and ensure compliance with, company policies and other tasks assigned from time to time by the line manager

Provide training to the business/functions and ensuring all employees understand legal requirements and standards of the Group

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

A Bachelor of Laws degree

At least 5 years work experience with a reputable law firm or multinational company

Experience with IT and procurement contracts is a plus

Ability to bring expert advice and problem-solving skills as well as good commercial sense to the business functions

Possess strong writing, drafting, interpersonal and communication skills

A team-player that is able to work cohesively with peers and senior management, and build effective internal networks within a matrix organization

Ability to handle matters on an independent basis and work under pressure

Proactive, organized, resourceful and cost-conscious
