Finance Assistant

St Giles Hotel is currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about accounting and finance, and who are eager to contribute to the financial operations of our hotel
**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting with accounts payable and receivable tasks including processing invoices, reconciling payments and managing vendor accounts
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation for the hotel’s transactions
- Assisting in conduction regular bank reconciliation and supporting month-end financial closing procedures
- Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, statements and budgets.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transaction.
- Providing support to the finance team on ad-hoc projects and tasks
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred
- Familiarity with hotel accounting systems or hospitality industry experience is a plus
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and calculations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- A degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field is desirable
