**Responsibilities**:
Indirect Tax Accountant will be specifically responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of indirect tax returns and payments, refund claims, and assisting in areas such as the risk identification and quantification, and tax audits. The role is based in Batu Kawan and requires the incumbent to be accountable for the VAT positions of LRISB in the EMEA region. The role requires an excellent communicator with solid knowledge of the (International) accounting standards.

**Other Job Responsibilities**
- Support the Indirect Tax Compliance process for the EMEA countries; i.e. monthly/quarterly/annual VAT compliance and Intrastat returns preparation processes.
- Assist in mitigating recurring master data errors; perform daily review and adjustments to SAP data.
- Assist in ensuring transparency in data corrections; escalate complex issues faced and track the resolution process.
- Perform the GL reconciliations reconciliations for the accounts assigned and process the related entries in accordance with Lam policies.
- Perform the review, corrections, and prepare the documentary evidence for the intercompany activities in the European scope of activities.
- Preparation and submission of electronic invoices (i.e. Italian temporary method, pending Lam e-invoicing solution for Europe and abroad).
- Manage internal enquiries, ensuring continuous monitoring and analysis of business factors, and contribute in continuous improvement projects.
- Assist in the annual review of the Indirect Tax Controls Framework and implementation of process improvement initiatives, where necessary.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Chartered Accountant - minimum 2 years working experience
- Ability to learn on the fly (eager to learn about the 30 different EMEA VAT regimes)
- Knowledge and enthusiasm about (tax) technologies, tax, and Lam Research
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- SAP knowledge is preferred
