Manager, Internal Communications

Job Description

In this role as the internal communications manager, you will be leading the team to develop and execute the internal and executive communication strategy across the airasia group.

You will work closely with the Communications team and People & Culture team to inform and engage our 16,000 Allstars (employees) in countries where AirAsia has a presence. You are a strategic and creative self-starter who thrives on coming up with fresh content and communication ideas and is able to manage numerous projects with tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute internal communication campaigns aligned with the airasia group’s priorities and strategy, including key messages and stories to promote across internal communication channels
- Work closely with the Communications team and People & Culture team to project manage internal communications and initiatives from beginning to end
- Collaborate with technology and operations teams to provide a digital-first, multi-channel employee experience
- Provide strategic counsel on employee experience-related strategies and plans - coaching, advising, and supporting senior executive internal positioning and profiling.
- Lead the production and execution of regular company updates, town halls, quarterly recap projects, leadership Q&A and more
- Incorporate data, feedback and surveys to review impact and engagement, and refine communication strategies accordingly
- Champion the employee’s point of view in communications
- Grow the internal communications function in the organisation

Key Relationships

Internal working relationships with the communication team, management team, and people & culture team. Adept at building relationships across the company to learn about new projects and initiatives that our employees should hear about.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to translate business objectives into communication goals and practical communication solutions that help achieve those objectives. Experience simplifying complex concepts and messages for a broad audience
- Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to define clear goals and track progress
- Experience in developing and executing communication initiatives and storytelling and leveraging internal communication channels to engage employees
- Ability to influence, collaborate and align with stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of reviewing, editing, and ensuring quality writing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deal with ambiguity and frequent changes
- Preferred at least 4 years’ experience in developing and executing effective communication materials, including presentations, videos and creative collaterals
- Open to experiment with new tools and new ways to communicate
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field

Good to have
- Experience working with diverse cultures and change management
- Hands-on content creation experience: video production & editing, livestream, basic graphic design skills
- Familiarity with employee engagement tools and channels (such as Google Suite, Workplace, Eko)
