**Job Title**: Production Services Leader - Batch Job & Scheduling
**Job Summary**:
The Production Services Leader is responsible for managing the team of Production Services Specialists, ensuring smooth operations in batch job scheduling, administration, and incident management. This role oversees day-to-day Control-M operations, ensures timely execution of batch processes, and supports system stability through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
**Core Responsibilities:Operational & Team Management**
- Lead and manage the Production Services team to ensure smooth daily operations of **Control-M** and related batch job systems.
- Assign batch job monitoring tasks to the **L1 SMC Team**, ensuring comprehensive coverage and proper escalation procedures.
- Prepare and manage staff rosters, including break schedules, leave planning, and resource allocation to maintain uninterrupted support.
- Guide and support team members in troubleshooting issues related to batch job scheduling, job runs, change requests, and incidents.
- Ensure all production services activities operate in a structured and efficient manner.
- Oversee proper handover and coordination between shifts or teams to maintain operational continuity.
**Technical & Process Management**
- Manage service requests and change requests related to **Control-M**, batch job scheduling, and administration.
- Act as **Incident Coordinator**, collaborating with the Incident Manager during major or potential major incidents involving batch or scheduler systems.
- Develop, document, and maintain **Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)** for Control-M and batch job operations.
- Ensure that the L1 SMC Monitoring Team is informed of new or updated batch jobs to facilitate proper monitoring and escalation.
- Drive process improvements in batch operations to enhance system reliability and performance.
**Reporting & Documentation**
- Prepare and deliver **daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports** on production services performance and batch job metrics.
- Maintain accurate documentation of batch schedules, incidents, changes, and operational activities for audit and compliance purposes.
**Standby Responsibilities (as required)**
- Perform Control-M administration and handle change requests or daily batch operations when team resources are limited.
- Troubleshoot and resolve batch job failures or scheduler-related incidents.
- Support L1 teams to ensure all scheduled and ad-hoc batch jobs are effectively monitored and escalated when necessary.
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
- Diploma or Degree in **Computer Engineering**, **Information Technology**, or related discipline.
- **3-4 years** of experience in IT Operations, Data Centre, or Production Services management.
- Hands-on experience in **Control-M** for batch job configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Possession of a **Control-M Certification** is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of IT operations, service management, and process workflows.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Effective leadership, communication, and coordination abilities.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills; capable of working under pressure.
- Proficiency in **English, Cantonese, and Mandarin** is required.
- Willing to provide **standby support** as needed.
Pay: RM11,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
**Experience**:
- Production Services management.: 2 years (preferred)
- IT Operations, Data Centre: 2 years (required)
- Control-M: 2 years (preferred)
- IT operations, service management, and process workflows.: 2 years (preferred)
**Language**:
- Mandarin (required)
