ROLE PURPOSE:
Administer, maintain, and support the AeU Knowledge Centre’s information resources, processes, and operations, following the best standards in academic libraries.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Management of Resources
- Acquire the latest and relevant printed and digital resources that ensure the library’s collection meets the users’ needs.
- Ensure timely delivery and access to resources via the library catalogue, repository and online databases in meeting user needs for learning and research.
- Assist in contract management with vendors. Includes negotiations of contractual agreements with vendors, administer and track vendor’s performance. Execute the library-related agreement/contracts to maximise returns to the library’s investments.
- Process and classify print and digital resources based on the established standards and policies for easy retrieval.
- Ensure the discoverability of printed and digital resources in the library through the creation of metadata.
2. Delivery of Library Services
- Serve as a Liaison Librarian, advise users on their research queries and provide information desk services.
3. Library Governance
- Present statistics through reports to the library’s principal stakeholders on users’ access to the library’s services and resources, including annual reviews and financial expenditures.
- Ensure the library’s collection grows in line with the Schools’ approved justifications and within budget.
- Assess and negotiate procurements according to the best practices and ensure good contract management of the library’s systems and resources.
4. Stakeholder Engagement and Networking
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for effective and smooth operations of the library’s services and manage vendors to ensure excellence in providing the library’s services and resources.
- Contribute to library events or activities as and when required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Library or Information Science/Master’s Degree in Library or Information Science is strongly preferred.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in developing library resources and metadata creation.
- Experience working in acquisition, electronic resources, liaising with vendors, reviewing licensing options, providing access, troubleshooting LMS technical issues.

**Salary**: RM2,200.00 - RM2,400.00 per month
