Production Planner

Job Summary: The Production Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules to ensure smooth manufacturing operations, on-time delivery, and optimal utilization of resources. This role acts as a key link between production, procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to align material availability, capacity planning, and customer demand. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain daily, weekly and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders and production capacity.Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse and logistics to ensure raw material and component availability.Monitor work-in-progress and adjust schedules proactively to meet changing priorities or unexpected delays.Communicate production plans and updates to relevant departments (sales, quality, production team, site and delivery team, etc)Liaise with process engineer to optimize production efficiency by minimizing downtime, setup time and material shortages.Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, variances and opportunities for improvement.Support inventory management by balancing production output with demand and stock levelsParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy.Prepare regular reports on production performance, forecast accuracy and capacity utilization.Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time. Qualifications & Requirements: Diploma/Degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, manufacturing or related field.Minimum 2-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling or manufacturing coordination.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details.Proficiency in ERP/MRP system (preferably SAP).Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.Strong Microsoft excel and data analysis capabilities. Preferred Skills (Optional): Experience in lean manufacturing or process optimizationKnowledge of ISO9001 on QMS.Familiarity with capacity planning and material requirement planning (MRP)Generate relevant documents & report for process improvement activitiesProvide trainings to the team for process improvement activities EMS Responsibility: Understand, implement, and uphold the company's Environmental Policy and EMS.Communicate & report environmental matters to the Superior / EMR / EHS Officer.Know actions to be taken in any normal, abnormal, and emergency related to the company's environmental situation.Attend, participate and give support for activities related to environment such as training, environmental program and environmental audits.Understand the environmental impacts of their work and their responsibility to control and mitigate it.Conserve natural resources by conservation of water, energy and paper.
