About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Ornapaper Industry (Perak) Sdn Bhd in Ipoh, Perak. As a Procurement Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient procurement of materials, goods and services to support the company's manufacturing operations. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for professional development and growth within the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and securing the best possible terms and conditions for the company
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable delivery of materials and services
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems to optimise stock levels and minimise waste
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and develop strategies to meet them
  • Monitor and analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Provide supervision and guidance to the procurement team, including mentoring and performance management

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, inventory management, and cost optimization
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with a keen eye for identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with relevant procurement regulations and compliance requirements
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
