Summary:

Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of both physical and system inventory data. This role focuses on stock administration, reporting, and conducting regular cycle counts to minimize stock discrepancies and support smooth warehouse operations.

Key Points for Inventory Controller:

  • Primary Focus: Data Accuracy and Inventory Administration.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in Inventory Control, Stock Control, or Warehouse Data Entry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using WMS/Inventory Systems and Microsoft Excel (for data analysis).
  • Core Tasks: Performing Cycle Counts, stock reconciliation, and investigating variances.
  • Skills: Meticulous, detail-oriented, and strong analytical ability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cycle Counting and Physical Inventory: Planning and executing daily or weekly cycle counts for all storage locations in the warehouse.
  • Data Reconciliation: Comparing physical count results with system data (WMS/ERP) and investigating the root causes of stock variances (overshorts, damage, or location errors).
  • System Data Maintenance: Ensuring all warehouse transactions (receipts, issues, transfers) are recorded accurately and timely within the inventory system.
  • Stock Reporting: Generating routine reports on inventory accuracy levels, stock variances, slow-moving items, and cycle count performance.
  • Internal Coordination: Closely coordinating with the warehouse team (operators) and relevant teams (purchasing/sales) to improve processes that lead to data inaccuracies.
  • Document Control: Ensuring all documents related to stock movement (Delivery Orders, Packing Lists, Goods Receipt Notes) are properly filed and compliant with procedures.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM2, RM3,500.00 per month
