About The Department

UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank's growth ambition. Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a Junior Developer to join our Local and Bill Payments team within the Core Banking domain. The role involves developing and maintaining AS400-based applications that support banking channels, enterprise application integration, and payment processing on AS400 using RPG and working closely with the team to deliver robust payment solutions. Experience in Remittance, GIRO, or Instant Payment systems is essential. The ideal candidate will work on system enhancements and projects to improve operational efficiency and deliver effective technical solution.

• Application Development: Develop and maintain applications using RPG, Cobol, and Control Language on the AS400 platform focused on Local and Bill Payment modules.
• Provide support and enhancement for Payment systems where applicable.
• Perform end-to-end development and to deliver using COBOL & RPG on AS400.
• Quality Assurance: Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and code quality review.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including System Analysts and Technical
• Delivery Manager to translate requirements into technical solutions and to ensure smooth system operations.

Job Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in RPG, Cobol, and Control Language development on AS400.
• Experience working with AS400 Programing in Banking/Financial Industry.
• Understanding and Experience of Banking Payment Transaction Modules.
• Platform/Product: Core Banking Payment Modules
• Server/Database: AS400 RPG/COBOL
