Job Purpose

Lead and govern Interior Design delivery across Avaland projects—covering unit ID (where applicable), sales gallery and show units—ensuring design intent, brand alignment, cost/time discipline, and buildability from concept through execution and handover.

Key Accountabilities

A. Design Leadership & Governance

  • Develop and maintain Interior Design direction, standards, and templates for sales gallery/show unit typologies, ensuring consistency with brand tiering and product positioning.
  • Lead concept-to-detail development of ID packages for assigned projects, ensuring clear intent, constructability, and coordination readiness.
  • Review/endorse key ID deliverables (concept, DD, tender/construction packages, material schedules, mock-up sign-off criteria) to meet internal governance and applicable codes/standards.

B. Project Delivery (Sales Gallery & Show Units)

  • Own delivery planning for ID scope: programme, budget, procurement inputs, stakeholder alignment, and milestone tracking.
  • Drive coordination with BU teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors to resolve design/technical issues quickly and prevent site rework.
  • Manage execution quality: mock-up review, material approval workflow, site inspections, defects closure, and handover readiness.

C. Cost, Value, and Commercial Discipline

  • Prepare and manage ID scope budgets and cost plans (CAPEX and/or project budgets), including value engineering recommendations without compromising brand intent.
  • Support tender/award processes with clear scopes, specifications, and evaluation inputs (technical compliance, buildability, risk flags).

D. Stakeholder & Consultant Management

  • Manage internal/external stakeholders to ensure timely decisions and approvals; chair ID coordination sessions when required.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and consultants; ensure deliverables quality and completeness before submissions/issue.

E. Asset & Inventory Management

  • Establish and manage ID-related inventory governance for sales gallery/show unit assets (e.g., loose furniture, props, fixtures where applicable): tracking, forecasting, and controlled transfers between business units.
  • Ensure inventory policies are clear (ownership, custody, approval thresholds, disposal/refresh cycle) and auditable.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Interior Design (or equivalent).
  • 6+ years in project interior design with proven delivery of sales galleries/show units and site execution exposure.
  • Strong coordination capability across consultants/contractors; comfortable with cost, programme, and procurement interfaces.

Technical & Competencies

  • Technical: detailing, material/spec knowledge, buildability, authority/code awareness (as relevant), shopdrawing review, mock-up control.
  • Tools: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe CS (and any BIM coordination exposure is a plus ).
