Row Ecomm Ops Engineer

Position Description:

Self-motivated individual who is responsible for technical support for the Lenovo Global eCommerce applications/tools. Work with broad cross functional teams like Web Architecture, Product Owner, and Software Development to understand business direction and requirements and assist in operational solutions to address those needs. Need to show a proven ability to operate and support web-based solutions. Candidate needs to be self-driven, able to work independently and very passionate with IT technology advancements.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take full ownership of the application support and operation. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic team member who has the following qualities and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

1. Business User Support

• Provide day-to-day support to business teams on website configuration (products, pricing, content, promotions, workflows, permissions, etc.).
• Guide users on correct usage of the admin tool and troubleshoot configuration-related issues.
• Respond to inquiries within SLA and maintain high-quality support service.

2. Application Operation & Troubleshooting

• Perform initial investigation of application issues, including reviewing logs, admin tool settings, and data flow.
• Work with DevOps and development teams to escalate issues with clear descriptions, evidence, and impact.
• Monitor application health, dashboards, and alerts; identify potential issues proactively.
• Conduct sanity checks after configuration changes, releases, or deployments.

3. Process & Knowledge Management

• Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOP), user guides, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline configuration and support processes.
• Ensure all incidents and requests are logged and tracked properly in the ticketing system.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Basic understanding of Java-based applications and their architecture.
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JSON) and REST API concepts.
• Basic SQL knowledge for read-only queries and troubleshooting.
• Experience with eCommerce systems or website CMS/admin tools is a plus.

Operational Skills

• Strong incident management, triage, and RCA capabilities.
• Ability to analyze configuration issues and identify root cause quickly.
• Hands-on experience with ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk).

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
• Customer-focused mindset with a proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting eCommerce or SaaS admin tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD concepts.
• Background in retail, digital commerce, or online marketing.
• Experience working in global/multi-time-zone teams.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor of Computer Science / Information Technology from a reputable university/college with a minimum 2 years of working experience in IT application development and support.

• Provide on-site and on-call website operations support for all in-country live applications and services according to defined Operations Level Agreement .

• Proactive and reactive performance monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of escalated issues.

• Collaborate with application support teams on content management.

• Prioritize investigation of high impact incidents to identify root causes and mitigation measures.
