Mobile Application Developer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain high quality native Android applications (phones, tablets and possibly in-vehicle/Android Automotive).
  • Collaborate with product owners, UI/UX designers, testers and backend teams to define and implement new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, responsiveness, and scalability of applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, documented, and tested code (unit tests, integration tests).
  • Participate in code reviews, pull requests, and foster best practices within the development team.
  • Work in agile/scrum/kanban environment: estimate stories, refine requirements, deliver increments.
  • Engage in root-cause analysis of issues, fix bugs and optimise bottlenecks.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Android / mobile technologies, lead improvements, and benchmark competitors.
  • (Optional/Advanced) Integrate application with vehicle systems, connected-services, infotainment or telematics modules.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least 2-3 years of native Android development experience (or equivalent) using Kotlin and/or Java.
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin, understanding of Android SDK, architecture components (e.g., ViewModel, LiveData), coroutines, dependency injection (Koin, Dagger).
  • Familiar with mobile architectures such as MVVM, MVI, SOLID principles.
  • Experience with UI/UX implementation (pixel-perfect UIs), custom views, animations and multi-device support.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), code reviews, automated testing.
  • Good communication skills in English, ability to work with distributed/global teams.
  • Agile mindset: comfortable in iterative development, refinement, feedback loops.
