About the role

Total Group Berhad is seeking experienced Tax Associates to join our dynamic team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. As a Tax Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive tax advisory and compliance services to our diverse client base. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to contribute to the overall success of our organisation.

Job Description

  • Handle the income tax matters of a portfolio of clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of the tax computations, tax returns and other tax compliances to meet tax submission deadlines for personal and corporate clients.
  • Provide general advisory to clients and other related works such as assist in special assignments.
  • Guide junior on the preparation of tax computations, technical issues and / or during their assistance in special assignments.
  • Supervising and managing tax compliance and advisory assignments.
  • Also play an active role in maintain close client relationships with the view of securing more consulting opportunities.
  • Updating the staff on new development in tax / SST legislation.

Requirements

  • Professional qualification or Degree in Taxation / Finance / Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of key tax legislation, regulations, public rulings, guidelines and etc.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Mandarin (We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients)
  • Able to work independently and team-oriented.
  • Good analytical and coordinating skills and resourceful with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work well in fast paced environment.
