retail outlets and central kitchen operations. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, and strong internal controls — supporting the company's ongoing expansion and long-term growth goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Strategy

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Analyse company performance and provide financial insights to guide strategic decisions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and ROI analysis for new outlet openings, menu expansions, and product development projects.
  • Advise management on investment strategies, cost optimization, and business scalability.

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Oversee timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Consolidate daily and monthly sales reports from all Dao Desserts outlets, online channels, and distribution partners.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition and reconciliation with POS and bank systems.
  • Analyse sales trends, profitability, and product performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Present management reports and dashboards highlighting key financial KPIs and operational insights.

3. Accounting & Operations

  • Supervise and review daily accounting functions including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.
  • Oversee inventory costing, stock valuation, and margin tracking.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across the accounting system and retail operations.
  • Streamline financial processes between outlets, central kitchen, and head office.

4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Manage the company's cash flow to maintain healthy liquidity for daily operations.
  • Monitor working capital, collections, and payment cycles.
  • Review and approve payments, ensuring adherence to financial policies.
  • Maintain strong banking relationships and optimize financing arrangements.

5. Taxation, Audit & Compliance

  • Ensure timely submission of corporate tax, SST, and other statutory filings.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain compliance with MFRS and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and manage audit schedules, ensuring smooth audit processes.

6. Internal Control & System Development

  • Establish and strengthen internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain finance-related SOPs.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement automation or system improvements.
  • Support the transition toward more structured and scalable financial management systems.

7. Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the finance team to ensure accuracy, accountability, and performance.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, HR, and Procurement teams to ensure financial alignment across departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MIA membership) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS), taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Experience in both
    retail and manufacturing
    environments preferred.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Autocount) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, growing company environment.
