SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for handling full or partial sets of accounts, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting daily accounting operations in a motorcycle retail business. This role also provides guidance to junior accounts staff and ensures timely reporting, compliance, and smooth financial operations across branches or outlets.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

  • Handle full set of accounts including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations
  • Record and verify daily sales transactions, customer receipts, and dealer invoices
  • Manage payment processing, petty cash, and expense claims
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments

Retail & Inventory Accounting

  • Maintain accurate records of motorcycle inventory, spare parts, and cost of sales
  • Perform stock reconciliation between system and physical inventory
  • Monitor vehicle purchases, sales margins, and trade-in transactions
  • Support inventory ageing and slow-moving stock analysis

Month-End & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly accounts, schedules, and supporting documents
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare basic management reports and analysis
  • Ensure timely submission of reports to management

Compliance & Statutory Matters

  • Assist in SST preparation and submission
  • Probably will handle EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and other statutory contributions; may supports/liaises with HR Department*
  • Prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors and tax agents
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Team Support & Coordination

  • Guide and support junior Accounts Executives or clerks
  • Review junior staff work for accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and workshop teams on financial matters

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Maintain proper documentation and filing
  • Assist in improving accounting processes and internal controls
  • Support accounting system, POS, or inventory system implementation

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in motorcycle, automotive, or retail industries
  • Experience handling full set of accounts is required
  • Knowledge of inventory accounting and retail sales processes is an advantage
  • Proficient in accounting software (SQL Accounting) and Microsoft Excel
  • Female candidate preferred
  • Good communication skills in Mandarin/Cantonese will be an advantage as may need to liaise with Chinese-speaking management, suppliers, and business partners
  • Good communication, analytical, and organisational skills
  • Able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines
