The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Sunway University invites outstanding applicants for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the area of Food Science and Technology.

Responsibilities

This position requires commitments towards teaching, research and scholarly activities, and contribution to programme administration and management.

Research:

·       Conduct and publish high quality journal articles, conference papers and/or other peer reviewed outputs as appropriate to the subject discipline.

·       Supervise research projects, including Doctoral and/or Master's students.

Teaching:

·       Design, plan and deliver lectures, tutorials and other teaching and learning activities appropriate to their discipline, and the requirements of the University.

·       Contribute to the design, development, delivery, review and enhancement of programmes of study within the Department/School.

Administration and Management:

·       Participate in internal and external events, such as open days, outreach activities, and visits to partner institutions and internship placements.

·       Support and assist colleagues in ensuring the smooth running of the department and programmes.

Requirements

·      A Doctoral degree or equivalent in Food Science and Technology, or a related field.

·      Significant recognized experience in the field of Food Science and Technology.

·      Proven record of excellence in teaching, research, and academic leadership within the discipline.

·      Demonstrated research achievements with quality publications and contributions to the field.

·      Evidence of leadership roles, managing people in both academic and non-academic settings.

·      Relevant technical accomplishments and industry engagement would be an advantage.
