Job Summary:

The Interior Design Drafter / CAD Technician is responsible for producing accurate and detailed technical drawings based on the interior designer's concepts, sketches, and specifications. These drawings are used for client presentations, construction, fabrication, and permitting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit).
  • Translate interior designer's sketches, mood boards, and concepts into precise technical drawings.
  • Prepare detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, joinery details, furniture layouts, lighting and ceiling plans, and material specifications.
  • Ensure drawings comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and company standards.
  • Revise drawings based on feedback from the design team or clients.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and fabricators to ensure design accuracy.
  • Maintain an organized library of all drawings and design documentation.
  • Occasionally assist in creating presentation boards or 3D renderings.
  • Conduct site visits to assess installation conditions, take measurements, and ensure product compatibility.
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients during site assessments to support design implementation.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Solidwork & etc.).
  • Knowledge of construction and interior detailing standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interior designers and project teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3, RM5,000.00 per month
