General Manager, Digital Services

Provide strategic leadership, manage IT operations, monitor overall performance, drive technology innovation, and develop internal capabilities, all in support of the IT and digital needs of the Group and in line with its digital business strategy and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategize and formulate long-range operational activities relating to policy development, planning, implementation, infrastructure operation, security, budget, procurement, and the overall management of Digital Services under Group Digital or any business unit assigned by the company.
- Establish networking and work in collaboration with SBUs and Subsidiaries to enable successful business opportunities for the Group.
- Act as the Custodian of IT Business Continuity Management Plan in ensuring its effective implementation to prevent disruption of business operations and services for the Company.
- Ensure provision of efficient and excellent service to clients as stipulated and agreed in the deliverables/ SLAs.
- Ensure adherence to SIRIM's policies, procedures, and circulars through effective leadership, resolve any non-compliance issues in a timely manner, and continuously drive improvements for increased efficiency and productivity.
- Manage key operational components and ensure efficient utilization of resources to meet department and organization needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering or Information Technology including formal exposure to Management of Information Technology concepts and practices.
- Candidate with post-graduate / professional qualification will have an added advantage
- Have at least 16 years working experience with 10 years in IT environment and at least 5 years in managing IT.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior management position is an added advantage.
- In-depth knowledge in Computer sciences/engineering, system/web/applications development, IT infrastructures and cybersecurity, Project/Change management.
- Experience in IT technical projects such as system development, infrastructure setup and stakeholder management are a must.
- Certified in ITIL, PMP/Prince2, ISMS, or equivalent is an added advantage.
- Extensive and active involvement and participation in national and international forums, committees and working groups.
- Possess excellent organisational and planning skills with strong ability in strategic thinking and problem solving.
- Excellent writing and communications skills.
- Exceptional presentation skills and leadership skills.
- Possess innovative mindset and ability to align technology initiatives with strategic business objectives.
