About the role
Join the dynamic team at ORIENTAL SIGNATURE, as a full-time Barista in our vibrant Kuala Lumpur location. This role is crucial in providing our customers with exceptional coffee and beverage service, ensuring they have an engaging and memorable experience every time they visit.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing a wide range of coffee/tea and specialty drinks to the highest standards
- Provide exceptional customer service, including explaining the functions and health benefits of different teas (e.g. detox, calming, digestive support, energy boosting). Offer product recommendations based on customer preferences and desired wellness effects
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked tea bar area to ensure efficient and smooth operations
- Adhering to all food safety and quality standards
- Assisting with inventory management and stock replenishment
- Operate the cash register, accurately handle cash and electronic payments, and ensure proper transaction recording
- Collaborating with the team to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the overall success of the business
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer-facing role in the hospitality or food & beverage industry
- Excellent coffee preparation and presentation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to engage customers in Mandarin and English
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable experiences
- Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible and adaptable, with a collaborative team player mindset
