Job Purpose

To ensure that all requirements set by relevant authorities related to food safety and quality are consistently maintained at the highest level by ensuring — but not limited to — full compliance with Halal, quality, and food safety standards in the Central Kitchen through regular monitoring, documentation, internal audits, and staff awareness training.

Key ResponsibilitiesA. Halal Compliance

i. Ensure all production activities comply with MS1500:2019, MPPHM (2nd Revision 2020), MHMS, and relevant laws and regulations.

ii. Prepare, review, and update Halal documentation such as the Halal Manual, raw material records, and suppliers' Halal certificates.

iii. Implement and maintain the Halal Assurance System (HAS) on a regular basis.

iv. Act as the liaison between management and relevant agencies during audits and for official communications.

v. Conduct internal Halal audits and prepare Corrective Action Reports (CAR).

vi. Coordinate Halal awareness training for all production staff.

B. Quality Control (QC)

i. Conduct inspections on raw materials, semi-finished products, finished goods, and equipment to ensure quality and food safety.

ii. Ensure compliance with MESTI, GMP, HACCP, and other established food safety standards.

iii. Monitor the cleanliness of personnel, equipment, storage areas, temperature control, and sanitation records.

iv. Carry out line inspections and report any non-conformances.

v. Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly QC reports to the Central Kitchen Manager, with a copy to Ayu (insert official job title).

Job Requirements

Qualification:

Minimum Diploma / Degree in Halal Management, Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in the F&B or food manufacturing industry, particularly in Halal and Quality Control.

Knowledge:

Proficient in Halal, MESTI, GMP, HACCP, and ISO standards.

Skills:

Strong communication, report writing, teamwork, and independent work skills.

Certification:

Possesses a recognized Halal Executive Certificate and Food Safety & Quality Course certification.

Language:

Proficient in Malay and English (spoken and written).
