Test Automation Engineer

WHAT'S THE ROLE?The purpose of the role is to design, develop, test, and operate a complex set of applications or platforms in a specific area. The role involves the utilization of advanced tools and analytical methods for gathering facts to develop solution scenarios. The job holder needs to be able to execute quality codes, review codes and supervise external developers.WHAT YOU'LL DOWe are looking for a passionate Test Automation Engineer with at least 8+ years of experience to join one of our strategic IT locations: PJ, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and work closely with many other colleagues from HILTI globally.As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be part of The Application Landscape Management Team. Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Gather business requirements and translate them into a technical solution.Design, develop, and execute the test automation scripts.Actively resolve and improve test automation passing rate to establish long-term solutions.Keep up to date with the latest industry developments in Enterprise test automation.Work closely with team members to build automated test suites to verify the quality, security, and scalability.The Product Owner will guide you to understand our existing test automation framework and development guidelines and support you in collaborating with the stakeholders. Your contribution will ensure the quality of our IT systems and deliver tangible values to Hilti Business now and in the future. Here's what you'll need to bring with you:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Development, Computer Science or related technical discipline with a Cumulative Grade Point Average > 3.0.Proficient with any common programming languages and debugging skills.A good understanding of the fundamentals of Software Testing methodologies and strong knowledge of any Test Automation frameworks, especially Tricentis Tosca, is an advantage.Ensure high quality of deliverables while enforcing test automation design best practices.Practical experience in Agile Software Development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is an advantage.Excellent interpersonal skills and well-balanced, adaptive communication style; ability to explain complex topics in simple terms.To be very passionate about learning new things, regardless of challenges.To have strong structural, analytical, and critical thinkingFluent in English (verbally and written).WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOUWe really value our people, and we've worked hard to develop a reward package that reflects this, creating your future to be just how you would want it.
