Are you passionate about cybersecurity, technology risk, and driving governance excellence in a fast-paced fintech environment? PayNet is looking for a dynamic and driven individual to join our Cyber & Technology Risk team to help shape the future of secure financial infrastructure in Malaysia.

What You'll Do
As part of our Cybersecurity & Technology Risk team, you'll work closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to:

  • Strengthen Cyber & Technology Risk Governance: Support the implementation and continuous improvement of cybersecurity, technology risk, and compliance frameworks.
  • Drive Strategic Risk Management: Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify, assess, and report on operational and strategic risks.
  • Lead Cloud & API Security Initiatives: Conduct cloud risk assessments, monitor cloud governance, and establish robust API security frameworks.
  • Enhance Ecosystem Security: Oversee cybersecurity posture of PayNet's bank and non-bank participants, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Promote Security Culture: Champion internal security awareness programs and foster a culture of proactive risk management.
  • Support Regulatory Readiness: Stay ahead of evolving laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure PayNet remains compliant and resilient.

What You Bring

  • A degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, technology governance, risk, compliance, or information security.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as BNM RMiT, ISO27001, MAS TRM, NIST, CIS, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of cloud security, API governance, and technology risk management frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for senior stakeholders.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, ISO27001 Auditor are a plus.
