Key Responsibilities1. HR Operations
- Recruitment & Onboarding:
Drive end-to-end recruitment from job posting, sourcing, interview coordination, offer management, to smooth onboarding.
Build strong talent pipelines and ensure excellent candidate experience. - Employee Lifecycle Management:
Maintain accurate HR records, manage probation reviews, confirmations, promotions, transfers, and exits.
Ensure timely feedback, documentation, and compliance throughout each employee's tenure. - Employee Relations:
Serve as a trusted advisor on HR policies, conduct, and workplace ethics.
Address grievances, mediate conflicts, and conduct investigations and disciplinary actions professionally.
2. Payroll, Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Manage contributions, tax filings, leave, and attendance data; reconcile payroll accounts and prepare management reports.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and administer benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and legal compliance.
- Provide clear communication and support to employees on compensation and benefits matters.
3. Training & Development
- Identify skill gaps and design learning programs that align with business goals.
- Manage HRDF applications, claims, and compliance.
- Organize and evaluate training sessions, monitor outcomes, and maintain detailed training records.
- Support succession planning and leadership development for high-potential employees.
4. HR Strategy, Policy & Analytics
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and employee handbooks aligned with Malaysian labour law.
- Partner with management on workforce planning, organizational development, and culture initiatives.
- Generate HR dashboards and analytics on turnover, headcount, and training ROI; use insights to improve HR performance.
- Manage HR budgets effectively and ensure cost efficiency across all HR activities.
5. Audit, Compliance & Administration
- Liaise with auditors and government agencies on HR matters to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
- Oversee daily office administration, including facilities management, IT coordination, travel arrangements, and procurement.
- Ensure a well-organized, safe, and inclusive workplace environment.
6. General
- Disseminate company updates and communications to employees, supporting engagement and transparency.
- Handle ad-hoc HR projects and initiatives assigned by regional or local management.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of full-spectrum HR experience, ideally within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of Malaysian labour laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Analytical mindset for HR data and reporting.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
