Quality Engineer

Responsibility:
A Quality Engineer shall perform all job functions and resume all responsibilities outline in the Job Description when given by Quality Manager and approved by Top Management. The Quality Engineer has specific responsibilities towards QA/QC Department and Company, and shall:
Quality Control (QC)
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001, equivalent International Quality System and Customer Requirement.
- Oversee and monitor the inspection and testing of materials, parts and product to ensure adherence to established quality standard. Supervise and coordinate daily activities to meet delivery target. Provide training to recruit.
- Establishes inspection protocol, defines sampling procedures and determines equipment and mechanism used in testing or inspection processes including First Article Run or Qualification Run.
- Responsible to prioritize and managing schedule to meet delivery internal due date. Monitor all outstanding is being manage effectively within agreeable target.
- Create and revise work instructions for inspection and test procedures.
- Oversee calibration of measuring tools and equipment.
Quality Assurance (QA)
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001, equivalent International Quality System and Customer Requirement.
- Lead/ support internal quality audits; assist during customer and third-party audits.
- Support production teams in defining quality standards, process controls, and standard work.
- Participate in PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and Control Plan creation.
- Ensure proper implementation and training of quality procedures across departments.
- Develop and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Lead root cause investigations using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, or Fishbone Diagrams.
- Implement and verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Drive nonconformance investigations and support material disposition (NCR/MRB process).
Customer & Supplier Quality
- Assist in handling customer complaints, returns, and quality issues.
- Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues, conduct incoming inspections, and manage supplier corrective actions.
- Ensure customer-specific requirements are understood and implemented in production.
To carry out any ad-hoc tasks request from the Management at any time.
Qualification and Experience
- Minimum qualification and experience requirements (to fulfil either one): SPM, STPM or equivalent with more than 3 years of direct experience in the related field. Diploma, Degree or equivalent with at least 1 years of direct experience in the related field.
- Advance with computer knowledge and experience in Quality Management System (ISO 9001) will be advantageous.
- Experience using calipers, scales, micrometers, Coordinate-measuring machine (CMM) and height gages and problem-solving QC tools.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is required.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, test procedures, customer standards and requirements.
- Must be able to act independently and with least amount of direct supervision, self-organize, schedule, and prioritize workload and manage simultaneous activities under stringent time constraints. Process leadership and Supervisory skill, able to communicate at all levels, follow-up skill, team-orientated, good in planning and decision making, target-driven, positive, and able to take ownership.
- Proficient Microsoft Office especially in Microsoft Excel is a must.
