About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Hotel Division team in the vibrant city of Melaka. This full-time position will provide you with the opportunity to apply your financial accounting and reporting skills within the dynamic hospitality industry.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assist with the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, statements and reports for the hotel division
  2. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including bank reconciliations, payroll processing and accounts payable/receivable
  3. Provide support in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and variance analysis
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient financial reporting
  5. Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as required

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar finance/accounting role, preferably within the hospitality industry
  2. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and proficiency in using accounting software
  3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  4. Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  6. Relevant diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
