We're Hiring: Senior Executive - Research

Location: MTDC HQ, Menara Yayasan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur

Division: Corporate Strategy & Performance – Strategic Research Unit

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic & Industry Research

  2. Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis across priority industries and emerging technologies.

  3. Develop industry-focused reports highlighting growth opportunities and transformative trends.
  4. Carry out regional market research to provide localised insights and recommendations.
  5. Evaluate MTDC ecosystem companies with market potential and guide investment strategies.

  6. Monitor global, regional, and local technology/market trends to provide foresight for MTDC's direction.

  7. Data Analytics & Decision Support

  8. Apply advanced data analytics techniques to extract insights from diverse data sources.

  9. Develop dashboards, visualisations, and statistical models to support decision-making.
  10. Translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations for senior management.

  11. Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making across MTDC.

  12. Sustainability & Strategic Projects

  13. Formulate sustainability strategies and frameworks aligned with regulatory requirements.

  14. Deliver sustainability-related reports, policies, and projects to reduce environmental impact and improve efficiency.
  15. Support ministerial-level initiatives and government-linked strategic research projects.
  16. Provide advisory input on policies affecting MTDC's strategic positioning.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Strong background in market research, strategy, or policy analysis.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or statistical software).
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and government policies is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to translate complex research into actionable insights for stakeholders.
