About the Job

We are looking for a talented API Integration Developer to join our team and help build seamless connections between our systems and third-party platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience integrating APIs, troubleshooting data flows, and ensuring secure, scalable communication between services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain API integrations between internal systems and external platforms
  • Analyze integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization protocols (e.g., OAuth2, JWT)
  • Monitor and optimize API performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and provide timely resolutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and QA
  • Maintain documentation for integration processes, endpoints, and workflows
  • Stay current with API standards, tools, and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Strong experience with RESTful and/or SOAP APIs
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, Python, or Java
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration services
  • Understanding of data formats like JSON and XML
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with middleware or integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Logic Apps)
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Understanding of API management tools and gateways

Work Location: Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur

12-month contract (renewable or potential absorption into permanent role).
