Position Overview
The Building Inspector ensures that buildings and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics through scheduled inspections and reporting.

Core Responsibilities
Inspection and Compliance

  • Conduct regular inspections of building fabric, structure, M&E systems, and fire safety equipment.
  • Identify defects, hazards, and compliance breaches, and recommend corrective actions.

Reporting

  • Prepare detailed inspection reports highlighting findings and corrective measures needed.
  • Escalate urgent safety risks immediately to the Hard Services Manager.

Audit and Support

  • Assist in third-party audits and internal compliance reviews.
  • Verify remedial works post-rectification and update compliance records.

Key Skills And Qualifications

  • Diploma in Building Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in building inspections.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian building codes, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Good report writing and communication skills.
