About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Test Analyst with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of applications through effective test planning, design, execution, and defect management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business and technical requirements to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Perform manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and API platforms.
  • Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution using standard defect tracking tools.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure clear understanding of requirements and test coverage.
  • Conduct regression, functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Prepare test reports, summarize testing results, and provide feedback to stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to testing standards, methodologies, and quality assurance best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 4–6 years of experience as a Test Analyst or Software Tester.
  • Strong experience in manual testing; exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter) is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in test management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Zephyr.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
  • Experience in testing APIs, web applications, and/or mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with SQL for backend data validation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Nice-to-Have

  • ISTQB or other software testing certification.
  • Basic knowledge of automation frameworks or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Domain experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, or Enterprise Applications is a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM5, RM6,900.00 per month
