Join one of Malaysia's leading financial services providers, renowned for delivering a comprehensive suite of innovative payment solutions and services tailored to meet diverse customer needs. The team is looking for an experienced Head IT Operations candidate to join the team.

Your new role

  • Leads the response to major incidents and critical situations with urgency, ensuring swift resolution and minimal business disruption.
  • Oversees key operational processes including service improvement initiatives, demand and change management, benchmarking, and performance reporting.
  • Drives continuous enhancement of existing services and spearheads the development of new solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Ensures strict adherence to security, audit, and compliance standards, aligning with industry best practices.
  • Accountable for the delivery of IT Operations services in line with agreed service level agreements (SLAs), budgets, and timelines.
  • Maintains high service performance, ensuring timely resolution of IT Operations issues and meeting SLAs and KPIs across all severity levels.
  • Leads the execution of the IT Strategy, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives and priorities.
  • Champions team development, overseeing personal and technical growth, coaching, and succession planning to build and sustain a high-performing IT Operations team.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Over 10 years of experience in IT Operations, with a strong background in IT Service Management (ITSM), End-User Computing (EUC), Networking, and IT Infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in the Financial Services (FS) industry, with deep familiarity with sector-specific operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-on expertise in day-to-day IT operations, demonstrating a continued willingness to be involved at the technical level when needed.
  • Experienced people leader, having successfully managed and developed a team of 20 IT professionals.
  • Well-versed in regulatory and compliance standards relevant to the FS industry, including BNM RMiT, PayNet requirements, and ISO 27001.
