About the role

Acerinox SC Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a leading manufacturer in the metals and materials industry, is seeking a full-time Procurement Executive to join their dynamic team in Ulu Tiram Johor. In this role, you will play a crucial part in streamlining the company's purchasing processes and ensuring efficient procurement operations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and maintaining positive supplier relationships
  2. Manage the procurement of raw materials, consumables, and other supplies/contractors to support production and operations
  3. Closing monitoring overseas shipments & domestics delivery
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective procurement strategies
  5. Monitor and analyse procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise purchasing processes
  6. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations
  7. Support the development and implementation of procurement-related systems and tools
  8. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the procurement function

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
  3. Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
  4. Proficient in using procurement software and data analysis tools
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  6. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Shipping & Logistics, or a related field
  7. A self-motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to work
  8. Able to read & write Chinese will be an advantage
