Job Summary:

This position oversees the security and safety requirement of the hotel are being adequately met by leading and supervising Security Officers in performing their duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full understanding and compliance with Security Standing Operating Procedures and Quality Service Standards.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift briefings and provide detailed updates on incidents, developments, events, and VIP movements.
  • Assign Security Officers to posts, manage their breaks, and supervise their performance throughout the shift.
  • Respond promptly to security and safety incidents, take preliminary action, and document all cases accurately.
  • Brief incoming supervisors with a complete situation report before ending each shift.
  • Liaise with public authorities (police, customs, council) when required and provide assistance without admitting liability.
  • Perform regular inspections, including fire safety checks, equipment inventory, walkie-talkie logs, and housekeeping oversight.
  • Support training for Security Officers and staff on fire safety, equipment handling, and security awareness.
  • Monitor staff conduct, enforce safety procedures, and take corrective action on unsafe conditions.
  • Attend required meetings, maintain professional relationships, uphold grooming standards, and carry out additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

· Minimum SPM

Experience

· Previous work experience in the police force or armed forces would be an advantage.

· At least 2 years of working experience in hotel security or five years in building security.

· Fair knowledge of fire panel, card key access system and CCTV.

Skills

· Supervisory Skills.

· Ability to create co-operation and communications with other hotels, the Police, Bomba and other national services.

·Good interpersonal skills.

· Satisfactory/fair communication skills.

· Satisfactory/fair knowledge of fire protection systems, security surveillance systems and general security practices.
