Purchasing Officer

Key Responsibilities
1. Supplier & Vendor Management
- Source, evaluate, and select new suppliers to support operational needs.
- Manage existing supplier relationships and performance.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms.
- Oversee end-to-end procurement to ensure optimal quality and reliability.
2. Procurement Operations
- Work closely with all departments to understand and fulfill purchasing requirements.
- Plan and execute purchasing activities, including issuing purchase orders and coordinating deliveries.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure timely supply of materials and services.
3. Cost & Efficiency Optimization
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement across the procurement workflow.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving projects.
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, documentation, and supplier databases.
- Work closely with the Finance & Accounting Department to ensure compliance and proper documentation for audit purposes.
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic procurement systems.
