About the Role

• The APAC L&D Trainers will be assigned to a specific business and act as a bridge between the Design & Development and the Learning Delivery team.
• Work alongside our Community Operations team on standard and quality delivery and execution of training programs at the COE.
• This role requires strategic thinking and excellence in training delivery and executing detailed learning plans (using effective training methodologies) and an understanding of how to evaluate the effectiveness of delivery to learner experience and performance results.
• CommOps is all about process efficiency, and as a Learning Specialist, you would be ensuring that these teams of rockstars are able to continuously provide world-class support to everyone involved in the Uber experience.
• This role is about building Learning Specialist process/business expertise and excellence in training delivery for our COE and BPO Learning programs.
• Responsible for creating business insights on the learning experience
• Upskilling learning specialist through required trainings

What You Need

• Experience:
  3+ years in Training/Learning & Development (internal or external)
• Language Expertise:
  Exceptional English plus professional proficiency in
  either
  Japanese, Cantonese,
  or
  Mandarin (spoken and written).
• L&D Certification (Preferred):
  Formal education/certification from recognised L&D bodies or institutions.
• Communication:
  Clear, audience-appropriate communication and strong situational awareness; excellent spoken and written English and Japanese, Cantonese,
  or
  Mandarin
• Facilitation & Presentation:
  Mastery of adult learning principles; expert classroom and virtual facilitation; strong classroom management; uses effective questioning to drive critical thinking, integration, and discussion.
• Experiential Delivery:
  Skilled with structured learning exercises, gamification, and scenario-based training to enhance engagement and shorten ramp-up time.
• Training Evaluation:
  Critically assesses program and delivery effectiveness; evaluates trainer/process/business expertise; provides actionable feedback and recommendations to improve skills, behaviors, and performance.
• Training Design:
  Proficient in design and delivery methodologies (e.g., Learning Styles, ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy, Kolb, Kirkpatrick) and applies them to improve learning outcomes and performance.
• Coaching:
  Delivers performance coaching for trainers and, when needed, partners on coaching new hires during Nesting to close performance gaps.
• Performance Analytics:
  Working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, pivot charts, scatter plots); uses data visualisation and storytelling for stakeholder presentations.
• Office Tools:
  Strong command of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides).
