Job Summary:
The Quality Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the daily functions of the Quality Department. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing quality documentation, performing ERP transactions, and assisting in the tracking of production quality activities. The Quality Clerk ensures smooth quality flow on the production floor by monitoring Work-In-Progress (WIP), updating job statuses, and maintaining compliance with internal standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Documentation & Record-Keeping:
- Maintain and update quality logs, including Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Job Completion Logs, Rework/Disposition Logs, and related records.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of batch records, test reports, production quality forms, and verification sheets.
System & Data Management:
- Perform ERP system transactions, including job completion status updates, lot traceability, and material movement tracking.
- Record and update quality events and approvals to reflect real-time production status.
Production Quality Support:
- Verify and document job completion statuses based on quality checks and release criteria.
- Monitor Work-In-Progress (WIP) to prevent delays and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct daily WIP line checks to confirm proper tagging, documentation, and in-process records.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing quality, production support, or a clerical role.
- Knowledge of quality documentation and production workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic ERP/MES systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and follow through on tasks.
Education:
SPM or Diploma in Science, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Physical requirements/Work EnvironmentThis position works in offices, laboratory and manufacturing environments. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. He or she needs to be able to recognize and differentiate colors. He or she must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Daily use of computers and other computing and digital devices is required. He or she may stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings, walking in the facilities, performing audits and laboratory testing. Some international travel is required, so a valid international travel passport is required. Also, some local is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver license is required.
The physical demands of the position described herein are essential functions of the job and employees must be able to successfully perform these tasks for extended periods.
