We are seeking a Junior DBA Engineer to support post-build activities within the Service Build Engineering team. The role involves managing and maintaining database environments, ensuring optimal performance, and supporting infrastructure across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB, along with solid Unix/Linux skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform database setup, configuration, and maintenance for Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB environments.
  • Support post-build activities including installation, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Execute SQL queries and scripts for database management and optimization.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
  • Maintain documentation for database configurations and operational procedures.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB databases.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL for database management and troubleshooting.
  • 3–5 years of experience in database administration or engineering.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Sybase databases.
  • Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM8,000.00 per month
