Role Overview

We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Designer to join our Product Development team at Al-Ikhsan Sports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sportswear and footwear design, combined with expertise in AI-powered design tools to create innovative, trend-leading products that meet the performance and lifestyle needs of our customers.

This role is critical in driving Al-Ikhsan's mission to deliver world-class sports apparel and footwear designs that blend functionality, style, and cutting-edge innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for sports apparel and footwear collections, from concept through final prototype.
  • Utilize AI-driven tools for idea generation, trend forecasting, pattern creation, and virtual prototyping.
  • Translate market insights, consumer preferences, and brand positioning into commercially viable designs.
  • Develop and present design concepts through sketches, CAD, and 3D modeling (Clo3D, Rhino, Blender, etc.).
  • Work closely with merchandising, sourcing, and marketing teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business objectives.
  • Research and experiment with new materials, fabric technology, and performance innovations.
  • Maintain strong awareness of global sportswear and footwear trends, ensuring Al-Ikhsan remains competitive and relevant.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers to elevate the creative output of the design team.

Requirements

Education & Training

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Fashion Design, Industrial Design, Textile Engineering, or related field.
  • Additional training/certification in AI-powered design tools, 3D fashion design, or trend forecasting is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years' experience in sports apparel and/or footwear design.
  • Proven portfolio showcasing innovative designs across apparel and footwear categories.
  • Hands-on experience with AI design platforms (e.g., MidJourney, Adobe Firefly, Stable Diffusion, Runway ML).
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and 3D design software (Clo3D, Rhino, Blender, or equivalent).
  • Experience in managing projects from concept to production with cross-functional teams.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong creative vision and ability to balance style, functionality, and commercial appeal.
  • Solid knowledge of sportswear materials, performance fabrics, and footwear construction.
  • Ability to leverage AI and digital design to accelerate creativity and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
