Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Assistant, based in Shah Alam. The Financial Assistant will manage daily financial operations such as invoicing, monitoring financial transactions, assisting with accounting processes, and analyzing financial data to support decision-making. Responsibilities also include effective communication with stakeholders and ensuring accuracy in financial records.
JOB DESCRIPTION
PURPOSE
a To assist the Assistant Manager-Account in the preparation of accurate and up to date monthly financial statements, timeliness of statutory and management report.
b To ensure data entry and records are accurate and up to date as part of the key components to be in line with Malaysian Accounting Standards.
c To be responsible for general Finance and Accounting function, identify the improvement on the cost saving and the process involved.
d To ensure all Account Payables functions are updated promptly and accurately.
e To assist in preparation of required management reports and to provide necessary information for management analysis purposes (prepayment/accrual/expense schedule).
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND SCOPE OF POSITION
a To ensure all supplier's invoices are verified and authorized (3-way matching to PO/DO/Invoice) prior to taking up in system.
b To recheck and to ensure all staff claims received are tallied to HR pay-out figure and posted correctly into accounting system.
c To ensure Tax Code for purchase/expenses is taken up correctly during data entry into accounting system.
d To prepare sub-contractor invoices/billing, and to ensure all supporting documents are in place (e.g.: - work done certificates match to contact invoice).
e To prepare necessary purchase/expense related report, and to ensure the proper filing of purchase invoices/statement of accounts/reconciliation etc.
- KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
a The jobholder possess at least a Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields, minimum 1 year of working experience in finance-related functions is preferred. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
b The jobholder must have good analytical skills, attention to details, well organized, high integrity and multitasking.
c The jobholder must be able to complete and prepare/submit reports on time.
Computer literate especially for MS Word, Excel, and Power Point, and have language proficiency in Bahasa Melayu and English. Any other languages are added advantage for this position.
On-Job-Training provided for fresh graduates.
