Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in accounting principles who are eager to grow in a supportive and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for handling a variety of accounting and administrative tasks to support the smooth functioning of our finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day accounting duties as assigned by management.
  • Accurately record financial transactions into accounting systems.
  • Ensure all entries comply with internal policies and standard accounting practices.
  • Support invoice processing including matching purchase orders, verifying accuracy, and ensuring timely approvals.
  • Assist in issuing invoices to customers, as needed.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation and filing systems.
  • Communicate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and address inquiries related to financial transactions.
  • Assist in preparing basic financial reports or summaries for senior staff.
  • Participate in ad hoc tasks and special finance-related projects when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualification: SPM/STPM/Diploma/Degree with basic knowledge of accounting or a related field.
  • At least 1 year experience would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with general bookkeeping and accounting procedures, particularly for small businesses or practices.
  • Computer literacy is essential; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is a plus.
  • Experience with SQL Accounting software is an added advantage.
  • Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM2, RM3,200.00 per month
