The Assistant Manager, Sustainability, plays a vital role in driving sustainability initiatives across the organization. This position supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies to ensure compliance, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals. The role also involves fostering a culture of sustainability, engaging stakeholders, and contributing to the organization's broader impact objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Implementation:

  • Assist in developing and executing the organization's sustainability strategy in line with business objectives and global best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in sustainability practices and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Support the integration of sustainability initiatives into core business operations, processes & lifestyle.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze sustainability metrics and KPIs, preparing detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the preparation of ESG disclosures and compliance documentation, ensuring alignment with industry standards such as GRI, CDP, or TCFD.
  • Track progress against sustainability goals, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sustainability efforts across departments.
  • Build partnerships with external stakeholders, including community groups, industry bodies, and government agencies.
  • Support sustainability-related training and awareness programs for employees.

Project Management:

  • Lead or assist in implementing key sustainability initiatives, such as carbon reduction, waste management, or sustainable sourcing projects.
  • Conduct research on emerging sustainability trends and provide actionable insights to enhance the organization's initiatives.
  • Manage budgets and timelines for assigned sustainability projects, ensuring successful execution.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay informed about changes in environmental and sustainability regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
