About the role

As a Senior Accounting Executive at Aurevia Nexus Sdn. Bhd., you will play a crucial role to provide professional services to our clients. This full-time position is based in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia, and will involve on the services for preparation of accounting, GST, payroll processing and financial statements and XBRL in Singapore.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare management accounts, payment processing and period end closing processes and submission of GST returns.
  • Assist on HR matters, including Payroll Processing, CPF submission, Work Pass application
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with relevant Financial Reporting Standards
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
  • Participate in ad-hoc assignments/projects as and when required
  • Liaise with clients and ensure timely submission and meeting tight deadline

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the professional services industry
  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations in Singapore
  • Proficient in using accounting software (Xero and MYOB) is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple client accounts
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Chinese to communicate with Chinese-speaking clients and handle Chinese documents is an advantage
  • Experience in leading and mentoring junior accounting staff
