To lead business development and trading activities in the palm oil sector, focusing on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic partnerships, and CPO/FFB trading. The role drives the company's growth through market intelligence, stakeholder engagement, and deal execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify, evaluate, and pursue acquisition, joint venture, and partnership opportunities with mills, plantations, and government-linked companies (GLCs).
  • Sales & Trading: Source and secure competitive CPO and FFB trading opportunities; monitor market trends and ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., PORAM, MPOB).
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct preliminary valuations, prepare financial models, and maintain profitability records for transactions and potential acquisitions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Prepare proposals, presentations, and reports; represent the company in meetings and industry events; liaise with clients, partners, and regulators.
  • Compliance & Administration: Ensure all activities adhere to company policies, ESG standards, and legal requirements; maintain proper documentation and provide regular management updates.

Required Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of the palm oil industry, including mill operations, supply chains, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-driven, analytical, and capable of working independently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Agribusiness, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years' experience in business development, trading, or corporate finance within the palm oil sector.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
