Role Summary

We are looking for a polished and service-driven individual with excellent English communication skills and a naturally pleasant smile. As the face of our bakery, you will create a warm, seamless, and personalised journey for every guest—from entrance to checkout—while upholding the hospitality standards of a premium retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Guest Welcome & First Impressions

  2. Greet every guest with a warm, confident, and professional welcome.

  3. Maintain an elegant presence at the entrance and ensure guests feel acknowledged immediately.

  4. Offer trays, guide guests to product sections, and provide a welcoming atmosphere at all times.

  5. Product Presentation & Assistance

  6. Introduce signature items, seasonal specials, and new arrivals with clear and polished communication.

  7. Provide thoughtful recommendations based on guest needs, preferences, or occasions.

  8. Demonstrate strong product knowledge and the ability to explain details confidently in English.

  9. Attentive & Proactive Service

  10. Anticipate guest needs by observing cues and offering timely assistance—trays, tissues, carrying items, or packaging support.

  11. Maintain a calm and pleasant demeanour even during peak hours.

  12. Check in with guests politely and unobtrusively to ensure they feel supported.

  13. Membership Management

  14. Assist customers with seamless membership registration, app activation, and account navigation.

  15. Clearly communicate membership benefits, rewards, points, and exclusive privileges.
  16. Ensure member data accuracy and support with any account-related inquiries.
  17. Guide guests through point earning, voucher redemption, and campaign-specific promotions.

  18. Build rapport with regular visitors to enhance loyalty and retention.

  19. Guest Guidance & Issue Handling

  20. Address guest inquiries professionally and efficiently.

  21. Direct guests to the correct counter or team member for specialised assistance.

  22. Handle minor feedback with composure and escalate more complex issues to the supervisor.

  23. Environment Care & Presentation Standards

  24. Ensure the entrance and service areas are clean, well-organised, and visually welcoming at all times.

  25. Replenish trays, utensils, rain covers, promotional materials, and other guest-support items.
  26. Uphold the ambience and grooming standards expected in a premium bakery environment.

Requirements

  • Strong command of spoken English with clear, confident communication.
  • Naturally pleasant smile, warm personality, and excellent personal grooming.
  • Service-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs proactively.
  • Experience in hospitality, hotel, airline, retail service, or front-of-house roles is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with consistent guest interaction.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
