Requirements

  • Diploma (7+ years) or Degree (5+ years) in Safety, Health & Environment.
  • Registered Safety & Health Officer (Green Book) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, Emergency Preparedness & Response Programs & Contractor Management.
  • Proven experience in risk management, multi-site operations, and safety culture programs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage ESH operations for Miri and Brunei, ensuring consistent policy implementation.
  • Maintain and communicate risk registers, objectives, targets, and legal/company requirements.
  • Advise on and monitor 5S, noise, ergonomics, ESH risks, PPE, and Journey Management Procedures.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Coordinate Sub-ESH Committees, safety culture programs, and training initiatives.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, DOSH, and consultants on ESH matters.
  • Ensure effective implementation and compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and the company Safety Management Framework.
  • Provide guidance and ensure compliance on chemical/scheduled waste management, machinery compliance, and contractor adherence.
  • Support emergency preparedness plans and drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist branches in preparing environmental, safety, and health performance reports.
