Multidisciplinary Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Multi-disciplinary Engineer with expertise in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimising, and supporting processes and systems related to advanced materials, particularly graphene-based production and applications. This role requires a strong understanding of chemical processes, mechanical systems, and electrical performance, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and innovation across our operations.

Role 1: Mechanical or Electrical & Electronics Engineer (Advanced materials-Integrated TEG)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the design, assembly, and testing of thermoelectric generator (TEG) systems incorporating advanced materials.
• Work on mechanical design, thermal management, and system integration of TEG modules.
• Assist with prototype development, testing setups, and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with electrical and materials teams on improving efficiency, reliability, and scalability of TEG systems.
• Support mechanical documentation, drawings, and maintenance strategies.
• Apply data-driven analysis to evaluate system performance and guide design improvements.

Role 2: Chemical Engineer (Advanced materials & Fertilizer)

Key Responsibilities
:

• Design, develop, and optimise chemical processes for graphene production, focusing on yield, consistency, and cost efficiency.
• Design, develop, and optimise chemical processes for controlled-release fertilizer (CRF) systems, including formulation and coating-related work.
• Improve reaction conditions, formulation/coating parameters, and purification steps to enhance process performance and scalability.
• Support scale-up from laboratory and pilot stages to production-ready processes for both graphene and fertilizer-related systems.
• Conduct material characterisation and quality checks using techniques such as Raman Spectroscopy, XRD, FTIR, and related methods.
• Apply data-driven approaches to process optimisation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Shared Responsibilities (Both Roles)

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across R&D, operations, and management.
• Prepare, maintain, and submit technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with technical documentation, reporting, and compliance-related records as required.
• Participate in scale-up, pilot testing, and production-readiness activities.
• Apply practical, data-driven engineering approaches to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Report progress, risks, and technical findings to management and relevant stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
• Operate in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership, accountability, and delivery focus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's (minimum CGPA: 3.00) or Master's degree in:

• Chemical Engineering

• Mechanical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering

• Strong engineering fundamentals with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset.

• Interest or practical exposure in advanced materials, sustainable / green technologies, or energy-efficient systems.
• Familiarity with relevant engineering tools or techniques (e.g. material characterisation such as Raman/XRD/FTIR, CAD design, thermal analysis, or basic electrical measurements and system testing) is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable engineering improvements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and submitting technical documentation and reports, and reporting progress, risks, and findings to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Willing to operate in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership, accountability, and delivery focus.
