Key Responsibilities:

Full Set of Accounts:

  • Handle the full spectrum of accounting functions including AR, AP, GL, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

Branch Setup:

  • Assist in financial planning and setup of new branches (e.g., chart of accounts, tax registration, systems configuration).
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth operational and financial integration of new branches.

Manufacturing Accounting:

  • Monitor and manage costing activities including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Assist in BOM costing, overhead allocation, and production cost analysis.
  • Reconcile inventory balances between system and physical count.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget vs actual and highlight variances.

Audit & Tax:

  • Support year-end audits and liaise with external auditors and tax agents.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including SST, income tax, and other relevant regulations.
  • Internal Controls:
  • Implement and maintain sound accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of accounting data and timely reporting.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in branch or entity setup is highly preferable.
  • Proficient in using SQL system.
  • Strong knowledge of full set of accounts, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Salary Range: RM5k - RM8k
