About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project M&E Engineer to join our team in Shah Alam, Selangor. As a Project M&E Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical and electrical aspects of our construction projects. This is a contract role with the potential for extension based on performance.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical works
  2. Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure the timely and efficient completion of M&E work
  3. Conduct site inspections and monitor quality control to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards
  4. Prepare and review technical documentation, such as drawings, specifications, and method statements
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve any M&E-related issues that arise during the construction process
  6. Collaborate with the design team to optimise M&E system performance and energy efficiency

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project M&E Engineer in the construction industry
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing the M&E aspects of construction projects
  4. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical installations
  5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  6. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  8. Familiarity with relevant construction regulations, codes, and safety standards
