The Sustainable Finance Institute Asia ("SFIA") is an independent institute established to catalyse ideas on sustainable finance at the policy level, as well as propel action in support of those policy ideas in Asia, particularly in ASEAN. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Project Associate – Data and Disclosure
with technology, project management and stakeholder management experience, strong language skills, positive attitude, critical thinking aptitude, and research and analysis capabilities.

The Project Associate is part of the bigger SFIA family, that works to provide unbiased and credible policy recommendations and implementation support to countries in the region, particularly ASEAN nations. Given this, it is crucial for the Project Associate to stay informed on the regional developments in the area of sustainability disclosures and sustainable finance, and have the ability to manage multiple tasks to support the delivery of the sustainability agenda.

About the Role

●     This is a contract-based, on-site Project Associate role located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor

The responsibilities of the Project Associate include
,
but are not limited to:

Support the execution of key projects for SFIA's Disclosure pillar and delivery of key initiatives, particularly the Single Accesspoint for ESG Data ("SAFE") Initiative

●     
Coordinate and manage deliverables as part of developing the SAFE Community as well as working with the relevant parties to develop the SAFE Technology Platform

●

Conduct data research and analysis, monitor regional developments in the area of sustainability disclosure and sustainable finance, prepare communication materials and assist in project planning

●

Contribute to the development of SFIA's overall technical acumen and capabilities

●

Provide cross-team support, as requested

Attributes of the Candidate

The ideal Project Associate will have the following:

At least
2-3
years work experience in relevant fields, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Economics, Sustainable Finance, Information Technology, Energy/Climate Policy, Sustainability, Climate Finance, International Relations/Political Science, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Journalism/Writing/Communications, Business Studies, Commerce, or related areas.

Native-level proficiency in English.

●

Strong research, writing and analytical capabilities.

●

Strong organisational and communication skills, with high level of attention to detail

●

Ability to multi-task while prioritising meeting deadlines

●

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

●

Previous exposure and/or demonstrated interest in sustainable finance, climate change, sustainability or other ESG-related matters is an advantage.
