The Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading all financial aspects of the company, compliance with MFRS and other statutory requirements to achieve strategic business objectives and long-term sustainability. Provide financial advisory on acquisitions, mergers, and business expansions to ensure they are aligned with group strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all finance initiatives which includes financial planning and policies, compliance, and timely financial reporting in compliance with MFRS & other statutory requirements;
  • Progress report to Board of Directors (BOD)
  • Quarterly reporting to Bursa
  • Audited Accounts for Subsidiaries and Group
  • Monthly Management Report
  • Provide financial analysis on profitability and validity of business plans to the management and participate in strategic reviews and periodic assessments.
  • Review and monitor the yearly annual budget, including the monthly forecast of Profit & Lost and the actual financial report for the Group.
  • Develop insightful business plans and strategies to support business growth and highlight financial implications of business, investment proposals, strategies and decisions.
  • Guide business plans and ensure optimal resource allocation through budget and performance management initiatives.
  • Manage the cash conversation cycle in order to ensure cost efficiency as part of our business model, drive effective closing of books on a weekly basis and day-end reporting.
  • Drive and achieve monthly KPIs for the business and team, constantly finetune and monitor business KPIs to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Support overall financial performance, and drive continuous improvement on the financial processes and systems to ensure business operations achieve their optimum.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in maximizing resources, using assets, and streamlining work processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or MICPA is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, ideally within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in a public-listed company, with strong understanding of Bursa Malaysia compliance and reporting standards.
  • Strong technical knowledge in MFRS, statutory audit, tax, and group financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with plant finance, costing, and operational controls in a production or supply chain setting.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above) is highly advantageous.
